What This Run Stood For
Suicide prevention and mental wellbeing are among the most pressing challenges facing young Kenyans — and the conversation around them is still too quiet. Run for Hope turns that conversation into kilometres: every step raises awareness, fights stigma and raises resources for youth-focused mental-health programmes, counselling referrals and support networks across the country.
Proceeds from every bib fund youth-led initiatives working on the ground. You don’t just cross a finish line — you fund solutions.
Breathwork, mindfulness, yoga and mental-health resources were available to every participant on race day.
Athletes and mental-health advocates shared short, powerful messages before the start.
Medals, refreshments, music and community — because every finisher is a champion.
What You Get
- Race t-shirt
- Finisher medal
- Race bib + chip timing (5K, 10K & 21K)

A Day to Remember
Our inaugural Run for Hope brought together hundreds of runners, walkers and volunteers across the 21K, 10K, 5K and Community Walk at Lavington Mall. Movement became awareness: every step raised funds for youth-led mental-wellbeing and suicide-prevention programmes across Kenya. Thank you to everyone who showed up, served, ran, walked and cheered.
Full results, race photos and the community impact report will be published here soon — follow our updates to be the first to see them.

The exact start point, parking and race-day schedule are still being confirmed with the venue and the authorities. We publish them on this page, and email every registered participant, as soon as they are confirmed — rather than send a guide we would then have to correct.
