About Sports for Impact Africa
A youth-founded social enterprise in Nairobi, Kenya. We organise runs, walks and race days for a cause — then hand the platform, the funds and the audience to organisations already working on the issue.
A Race Can Start a Conversation
Sports for Impact Africa (SFIA) was founded on the belief that sport can be a powerful tool for social change beyond competition, fitness and recreation. We are a youth-founded, athlete-led social enterprise in Kenya that curates purpose-driven sporting events to raise awareness of pressing social issues, mobilize communities and support solutions.
Our Mission
To harness the power of sport to mobilize people and resources for social impact.
Our Vision
A Kenya where sport is a powerful force for social change and youth-led solutions.
The Sports for Impact Model
Sports for Impact Africa (SFIA) identifies social issues affecting communities and designs purpose-driven sporting events to bring these issues into public conversation. Through sport, we mobilize participants, partners and communities to amplify awareness and encourage engagement with the social issues affecting our communities.
The model turns participation into social impact by supporting youth-led initiatives, connecting communities to practical support and creating income opportunities for young people and athletes through sporting events.
